Christmas Stampin All Year Long Friday

Good morning, and happy Friday everyone!  Today I have another card to share with you for CSAYL.  The challenge this week is Anything Goes.  So grab your favorite Christmas stamps and come play along!  This weeks winner will get the honor of being our very first guest designer for the year.

For my card this week, I used the Gingerbread from SP & Company.  I stamped him on a light brown patterned paper and trimmed him out.  I used some white Liquid Applique to do the frosting, some brads for his buttons, and paper pieced his cheeks with some red cardstock.  My card base was cut using Nestabilities Lacy Squares (Spellbinders) and the candy patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye.

I used a small strip of the patterned paper on the inside to jazz the inside up a bit.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the gingerbread called Cutest Gingerbread Man (SP & Company).

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

CSAYL - Santa's Stuck!

It's Friday!  I for one, am very glad that Friday has come around again.  This has been a long and tedious week, so I am happy to see it end!  Plus, Friday means it is time for some Christmas stamping with CSAYL!  Oh, and it's March Madness, so it's game time!

OK, so this weeks challenge is to use 1 image, 2 papers and 3 different embellishments on your project.  For my embellishments I have used Liquid Applique, some loose glitter and some dry embossing.  I know, the dry embossing might be a stretch for some people in the 'embellishment' department, but there ya go.

This image of Santa stuck in the chimney just cracks me up.  It is called Santa's Stuck and it is from Limited Runs Digital Stamps.  I felt like this image deserved a whole scene, so I made a house and roof from some cardstock.  I embossed the roof with a mosaic Cuttlebug embossing folder to give the appearance of shingles.  All of the snow accents were done with white Liquid Applique and loose glitter.  The "Ho!"'s are from Hero Arts.  Really simple to put this together and so FUN!

Play along with this weeks challenge and you can win 3 digis of your choice from Limited Runs.  Be sure to check out the CSAYL blog for more Christmas projects.

Time for me to check out of blog land and go watch some basketball!

Happy Stamping,

Michelle

SP & Company Thursday!

Hello again!  Well, I have been at it again with my Martha Stewart Scoring Board and have made another box.  I just love these boxes.  The one I have today is for Mother's Day.  In case you were wondering, Mother's Day is on May 13th, this year.  Don't start sweating it yet, there is still plenty of time!

The finished size on this box is 2x2x2.  It is the perfect size  for gifting a pair of earrings, a necklace, bracelet, you know....all those typical Mother's Day type gifts.

The base of the box is made from some kraft cardstock.  The lid is made from 2 different patterned papers from Lost & Found 2 Collection - Blush (My Mind's Eye).  I stamped Even Bolder Sentiments - Mother's Day (SP & Company) with brown ink on some cream colored cardstock.  I trimmed it out and mounted it on the lid with some dimensional foam dots.

And there you go, a sweet little gift box all ready to go!  These boxes are just awesome.  You can whip them up in hardly any time at all, which is always a plus.

Now I just need to find a gift to go in the box, lol!

Thanks for stopping by,

Michelle

SP & Company March Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!  Today is the March blog hop for SP & Company.

This month's color is Green in honor of St. Patrick's Day! After you're done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month's Green challenge (click here for details) for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes!

Join us for our Release Celebration that is happening today and tomorrow on the SP Forum HERE.  You can talk to all of the designers, discuss projects and chit chat with other stampers!

Don't forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog to be eligible for the prizes!! The more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning something fun!

The card I am sharing with you today features two new stamps.  Baby Bella Dog and Even Bolder Sentiments: Mother's Day.

I stamped my dog on a piece of patterned paper that is cream colored with a fine dot pattern.  This is a great way to "color" large images if you don't have a lot of time to sit and color, or if maybe you don't like to color large images.  Looks really cool for the dog!  I stamped the flower from her collar on a yellow piece of paper, cut it out and paper pieced it onto my main image.  I popped her up on some dimensional dots to really make her stand out.  I stamped the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment with some black ink directly on my patterned paper and attached it all to the front of a cream colored card base.

My mother-in-law is a serious animal lover, so this is going to be perfect for her!
Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! We also have the Stamp Team and the Challenge Team teaming up today to show you lots of amazing projects with the newest stamp sets!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!

Good morning everyone!  Got some news for you...I am now designing for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long (CSAYL)!  Every Friday I will be sharing a new Christmas project with you and you can get in on the fun by playing along with the challenges and win some great prizes!  Awesome, right?    I love making projects for Christmas and this is going to keep me going all year long!

This weeks challenge is sponsored by:

For my card, I used the "Ho, Ho, Ho" from the Basic Christmas Shapes. I printed it on red cardstock, cut them out and mounted them on my card with some dimensional foam dots. The background is stamped in green with a candy cane background stamp from TAC (retires). My Santa image is also an oldie from TAC (retired), that I colored with markers.

These big bold words are so cool, love the look that they give!

Be sure to check back on Fridays for some more holiday inspiration and go enter this weeks challenge to win some cool goodies for yourself on the CSAYL blog!

Happy Stamping,

Michelle
