Christmas Stampin' Friday With CSAYL

Hello, and happy Friday!  This week has just flown right by.  So many things going on, the time is just ticking away.  Glad to have the weekend here again!

Today I have a card to share with you for CSAYL .  This weeks challenge is Photo Who?  The idea is to make a card with a photo or a photo holder.  Come play along with our challenge this week and you can win a guest designer spot on the CSAYL blog!

For my card, I made a Christmas photo card.

I did mine postcard style, which seems to be really popular now.  We get a lot of postcard style Christmas cards every year with family photos, instead of traditional cards, so I decided to go that route.  All of the patterned papers I used for this are from 12 Days of Christmas (My Mind's Eye), and the sentiment stamp is from Autumn Leaves.

The picture I used is one of my daughters school pictures.  We always get our school pictures in time for Christmas, so this would be a great way to send out the school pictures, too.  Especially since I am really bad about getting those in the mail...two birds works for me!

Be sure to check out the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team did and share your photo card as well!

Happy Stampin',

Michelle

This month's color is Lavender (Light Purple)!!! After you're done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month's Lavendar challenge (click here for details) for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes!

Join us for our Release Celebration that is happening today and tomorrow on the SP Forum HERE.  You can talk to all of the designers, discuss projects and chit chat with other stampers! It's a blast and you don't want to miss out!

Don't forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog to be eligible for the prizes!! The more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning something fun!

OK, so when you look at my card, you might ask yourself "Where is the Lavender?".  Well...sadly, the only lavender I have is on my cheeks, where I am turning a little purple with embarassment for forgetting my lavender!

I was ecstatic when I got this Father's Day Fun Mini stamp set!  It is so stinkin' cute and I couldn't wait to play with it .  So I set off to the craft room with ideas bubbling away, then I got carried away, and this is what I came out with...

I am pretty sure that if you look VERY closely at that spotted tie on the right you will find a little lavender dot.  :)  I stamped the tie on three different patterned papers, trimmed them out and popped them up on some dimensional foam dots.  The papers are from 12 Days of Christmas (My Mind's Eye).  I was quite happy to use the Christmas pad for a Father's Day project.  Versatility!  Gotta love it.

To finish it off, I just inked up the "Happy Father's Day!" stamp in black and stamped it across the bottom. The size of this sentiment is fabulous!  It is substantial enough to really carry a CAS card.  LOVE it and I am so in love with this stamp set!  I am going to have lots of fun playing with all of these cool ties.

Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! And don't forget to hop around to each Design Team Member's blog - there are brand new projects with the stamps that came out TODAY to inspire you!

Christmas Stampin' Friday!

Hello!  Back again with a new Christmas card for CSAYL.  Our sponsor this week is:

Play along with this weeks challenge and you can win 4 images of your choice from Meljen's Designs!  The challenge this week is to make a Christmas card using your favorite color combo.  Simple, right?

My favorite Christmas card color combo is red and green, of course!

This little mouse image from Meljen's Designs is too, too cute!  I colored him in with my Prismacolors.  The patterned paper is from the 12 Days of Christmas collection (My Mind's Eye), and the little "Joy" stamp is from Hero Arts.

Can't wait to see what everyone makes this week!

Happy Stampin',

Michelle

SP & Company Thursday!

Good morning everyone!  How is everyone's Spring Break going?  The kids have been off from school all this week.  Been trying to keep them busy, going to the movies, the tide pools, etc.  Fun, fun, fun!  Can't let them sit around with nothing to do for too long or they start to go native and that is never good.

The card I have to share today is another shaped card.  I still love these things.  They are so much fun to make.

I cut the card base with the Nestabilities Beaded Circle die (Spellbinders).  I layered a circle cut from Yours Truly (Echo Park),  then layered a strip of gray from the same paper pad across that.  I stamped my sentiment in black on white paper, trimmed it out and mounted it with some dimensional foam dots.  The stamp is Even Bolder Sentiments - Mother's Day (SP & Company). Last, I added a little bling with some red sticker gems.

Thanks for stopping by,

Michelle
